Calling All Comedians! 🎤

Hey everyone! We’ve been getting a lot of love from comedians wanting to perform at Laughing Lassi, and we appreciate it so much! Thank you!

If you’ve never been on the show before, we have a simple rule: send us a 10-minute unedited tape of your standup. No less. No exceptions. If you’ve been doing standup for a while, you should have this ready to go. Email link and details to [email protected].

For those who are super new to standup or if you’re an influencer thinking about giving comedy a shot—hit up some open mics first. You can still reach out to us, but it’s unlikely we’ll have a spot for you at the moment. 🤷🏽‍♂️

If you’ve been on Laughing Lassi but haven’t heard back, it’s probably because we forgot (oops) or we think you’re not as active in the scene. We give priority to comedians who are regularly performing on other shows. If this is just a hobby for you, this might not be the right show. But if you’re serious, feel free to reach out for a spot—just make sure to include a short bio and let us know where you’ve been performing recently.

Here’s the show format going forward:

  • Host: 15 Minutes
  • Opening Act: 10 Minutes
  • Middle Act: 15 Minutes
  • New Comedian #1: 5 Minutes
  • Guest Comedian: 10 Minutes
  • New Comedian #2: 5 Minutes
  • Headliner: 25 Minutes
    Total: 85 Minutes

We’re committed to keeping our shows gender-balanced, so heads up to all the male comedians: your chances might be a little lower since there are way more of you.

With only a few spots available per show (host, guest, and producer spots are locked), don’t lose patience—it could take up to 6 months to get booked again. We have a list of regulars and rotate through it. If you’re an active NYC comic hitting mics and shows, you’ll make it on the list sooner or later.

Thanks again for your support! 🍻
